Shook Construction has been a trusted partner to Kent City School District, delivering projects that support the district’s long-term educational, operational, and workforce development goals. From a district-wide facilities modernization program to a highly specialized career-technical education addition, the district repeatedly selected Shook for its collaborative approach, proven performance, and ability to deliver complex projects within active educational environments.
Shook led implementation of the district’s Master Facility Plan, a multi-building program focused on safety, modernization, and long-term operational performance. The work included major renovations and targeted additions designed to refresh instructional spaces, enhance athletic and performing arts facilities, improve campus circulation, and strengthen security systems. Through careful planning and stakeholder collaboration, the program addressed both immediate facility needs and the district’s long-term educational objectives.
Building on the success of the district-wide improvements, Kent City Schools again entrusted Shook to deliver a specialized Career Technical Education Addition at Theodore Roosevelt High School. Developed in support of the Six District Educational Compact, the expansion created learning environments focused on engineering, advanced manufacturing, and workforce development. These modern instructional spaces provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and industry-relevant training that prepare them for college, technical education, and high-demand careers.
Together, these projects provide Kent City School District with modern, flexible learning environments that support academic achievement, career readiness, student safety, and community engagement for years to come.
