Delivery Methods
Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) is Shook Construction’s most widely used delivery method for addressing complex projects where early contractor involvement and cost certainty are key. With the CMAR method, the owner contracts separately with an architect or engineering firm for the design phase with Shook Construction acting as a constructability consultant then overseeing all construction and trade partner work.
Unlike traditional delivery methods, the CMAR approach provides a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction services, with the construction manager assuming the risk of potential cost overruns.
“Chaminade Julienne has been blessed to work with Shook Construction as we continue to expand and improve the school's campus so we may better serve our students and the broader community. We have come to rely on Shook's guidance, creativity, attention to detail and to budget, professionalism, and focus on realistic timelines throughout various new construction projects, renovations, and demolitions. They have been an outstanding, reliable, and valuable partner.”
