Chrysler Corporation — In-Plant Projects

Since beginning our partnership in 2011, Shook Construction has served as a reliable, long-term partner to Chrysler and Stellantis. We have delivered more than 2,200 projects across numerous manufacturing facilities while supporting production-critical operations within active industrial environments. Our work has included facility expansions, equipment installations, demolition, concrete construction, infrastructure upgrades, and plant modernization projects.

We have executed work through multiple delivery methods, including general contracting, subcontracting, construction management, and design-build. Shook routinely self-performs demolition, excavation, concrete, and rough carpentry with an average field crew of 25 skilled craftsmen, placing more than 55,000 cubic yards of concrete throughout Chrysler facilities.

Notable projects include the Die Storage Building Addition, Kokomo Casting Plant Cooling Tower Replacement, Caseline 12 and 14 equipment and concrete demolition, multiple slab replacement programs, new conveyor pits and trenches, and the Kokomo Engine Plant expansion.

Managing concurrent projects across multiple facilities requires extensive coordination and workforce planning. Shook teams are often active in three facilities simultaneously, balancing schedules to maximize labor efficiency while protecting production uptime. Early milestone identification and proactive sequencing allow us to align labor, logistics, and site operations with plant priorities.

Chrysler has also relied on Shook to support specialty contractors throughout project delivery. Our deep in-plant experience and operational familiarity have become valuable resources for trade partners and the many production engineers who have transitioned through the Kokomo facilities over the years.
