The Bila Solar Manufacturing Plant & Headquarters is a 160,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility developed to support domestic solar panel production and expand North America’s renewable energy supply chain. Delivered through the Construction Manager as Contractor (CMC) model, the project combined manufacturing, warehouse, and corporate headquarters functions within a single state-of-the-art facility.
A key project objective was scaling the original 500 MW production line to a 125 MW line, which enabled faster mobilization and allowed Bila Solar to begin operations sooner. Working closely with MNA Engineering, the team developed innovative solutions that maintained critical operational requirements while maximizing value.
Preconstruction efforts focused on value engineering, procurement optimization, and phased construction strategies to maintain budget and schedule goals. The installation of 690,000 pounds of specialized manufacturing equipment required precise coordination among project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness.
To maintain quality, safety, and schedule control, Shook self-performed all concrete work. Through proactive management, efficient procurement strategies, and strong logistical execution, the facility was delivered on-schedule and is positioned to support Bila Solar’s continued growth in the renewable energy market.
