The Upper Sandusky Water Reclamation Facility Improvements project delivered a new 10 MGD wastewater treatment facility designed to increase treatment capacity, improve process reliability, and support long-term regulatory compliance for the community.
Major components included:
- Realignment and upsizing of existing influent sewers
- Headworks building with screening, influent pumping, and grit removal
- Sequencing batch reactor with blowers and aeration equipment
- Disc filtration equipment
- UV disinfection
- Cascade aerator
- Aerobic digestion system with blowers and mixing equipment
- Solids handling building with screw press and auger
- Administration building with garage
- Associated site civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and plumbing work
- Demolition of several existing structures at the plant
The completed facility provides Upper Sandusky with modern, efficient, and resilient wastewater treatment infrastructure designed to enhance operational performance and serve the community’s long-term environmental needs.
