The PolyOne Corporate Data Center project delivered a long-term mission-critical infrastructure solution to increase capacity, reliability, and redundancy at the company’s headquarters campus in Avon Lake, Ohio. Executed through a design-build delivery method, the project included master planning and phased implementation to support future data center operations and business continuity.
Phase I expanded the existing facility to accommodate new A-side and B-side power rooms, while Phase II included major electrical upgrades featuring a new 150kW modular UPS system, power distribution units, and enhanced grounding infrastructure. These improvements provided redundant power for critical network operations and strengthened overall system reliability.
Our team worked closely with nearby user groups to coordinate shutdowns, relocations, and construction activities. Through careful planning and coordination, the project achieved zero downtime while keeping the corporate headquarters and data center fully operational throughout construction.
