Northwest Regional Water Treatment Plant Upgrades

The project brought significant improvements to Greene County’s largest water treatment plant. The work included the addition of three new gravity sand filters, reverse osmosis membrane softening equipment, a new chemical building, and new offices and a conference room. Twelve existing gravity sand filters and two existing on-site clear wells were renovated. In addition, the improvements included new SCADA system for plant controls, a new reaction tank, the complete renovation of an existing administration building, and other various process and site improvements.

CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY BIOLOGY LABS

The CWRU Biology Teaching Labs project involved the renovation of the ground floor of the CWRU Dental Research Building in Cleveland, OH, to modernize and repurpose it for the biology department's teaching labs. This project included nine teaching labs, two resource labs, a lab preparation rooms, faculty offices, a break room, student collaboration areas, and lab support spaces.

BILA SOLAR NORTH AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS

Shook served as the Construction Manager on this design-build project, where our team renovated a 60+ year old facility into an updated manufacturing facility for Bila's U.S. operations. Beginning with an in-depth GMP process, Shook helped Bila value engineer its cost and procurement schedule to allow operations to begin as soon as possible while limiting the financial burden on the company.

DAYTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS, WELCOME STADIUM RENOVATION

Originally built in 1949, the iconic Welcome Stadium stands as a prominent landmark in Dayton and serves as the home for Dayton Public Schools athletics. The $32.5M upgrade brought significant enhancements, including new underground utilities, track and field, an 80-foot-high freestanding press box, refreshed concourses, updated grandstands, and a 5,000 SF pre-engineered metal building.

SIERRA NEVADA CORPORATION, AVIATION INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER

SNC's new hangar is the first large aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility constructed in the Dayton region since WWII and is capable of supporting some of the largest aviation projects in the world. The new 100,000 SF facility stands 90 feet tall with a massive hangar clearance of 72 feet high by 255 feet wide.

Shook has been working at Chrysler’s five separate manufacturing plants in Kokomo, IN, since 2011. Our team has collaborated on over $120M of work and over 2,200 projects for Chrysler, ranging in size from $500 to $9.0M. Shook has self-performed specific scopes of this work, fielding a crew of approximately 25 craftsmen at any given time and routinely providing demolition, excavation, concrete, and rough carpentry in the active manufacturing facilities.
