Progress on the Mansfield Water Treatment Plant Improvements project continues! Shook serves as the Construction Manager at Risk and the General Trades Contractor on this $30M renovation, working within the confines of the active 10 MGD plant. All work has been carefully planned and executed to prevent disruption to the City's drinking water.
Phase 1 involved the renovation of eight gravity media filters, half of which were original to 1951, as well as complete replacement of the Plant’s chemical feed systems, electrical feed system, I&C system, and many process piping improvements and replacements. Phase 2 involves the renovation of four Floc/Sed Basins, half of which were original to 1951, and replacement of the three High Service Pumps, along with corresponding electrical, control, and process upgrades. With renovation of the final two filters and High Service Pumps/Distribution improvements underway, and the final pieces of equipment set to arrive in the next several months, the project is pushing toward completion next spring!
