Earlier this month, we celebrated the grand opening of Dayton Metro Library's Northmont branch with over 1,000 community members.
This branch is number 12 of 13 built by Shook Construction as part of DML's "Libraries for a Smarter Future" project, made possible by voter support of a $187 million tax levy in 2012. The 19,000-square-foot branch offers group study rooms, a community room, a quiet reading room, a conference room, an outdoor patio, and spaces designated for children, teens, and adults. A 16-foot by 4-foot Lego mosaic, constructed by the local elementary school students, is featured in the children’s area.
We look forward to wrapping up the "Libraries for a Smarter Future" project with the opening of the Huber Heights branch later this year!
