Our next feature for Women in Construction Week is Logan Spradlin, a Carpenter Apprentice at Shook.
MEET LOGAN.
"A few years ago, I started my construction journey. Looking back, it is one of the best career choices I could have made. I have learned so much from many different people. One of the best aspects of carpentry is that there are many different ways of accomplishing one task. Being a woman union carpenter in a male-dominated trade hasn’t always been easy, but there is room for us all within the trades. I love being able to drive across Ohio and point out all the schools, hospitals and now wastewater facilities I’ve played a part in building. I’d say if you are a hard-working woman looking to join the trades, you very much should. You don’t realize how rewarding it really can be until you make the decision to do so.”
