In 2022, Shook created a new award to be given to a project team each year that exemplifies safety, named the Joe Reich Safety Excellence Award. Serving Shook Construction for more than 30 years, Joe was the Director of Safety and Risk Management from 1992-2020. Genuinely passionate about the safety of Shook employees, Joe was steadfast in his commitment to ensuring we each made it through each workday safely.
At our 2023 Shook Annual Meeting, we were able to have Joe join us as we presented the first annual Joe Reich Safety Excellence Award to the project team at the City of Mansfield Water Treatment Plant. Their commitment to safety – from their attitude to the completion of safety audits and more – ensures every person on the jobsite makes it home safely. We recently had the pleasure of celebrating this award at a luncheon with the entire project team. Please join us in congratulating them for their outstanding efforts!
