January 5, 2023 Mission
At Shook Construction, our Mission is “Dramatically Improving the Communities We Serve” and a pillar of that Mission is our Mission Trip program. In 2022, we partnered with SAM Ministries to send eight employees to Mucombeze, Mozambique, where they built teacher dormitories for a remote school. As part of that trip, we joined forces with the Dayton-based video production team at ManaVision, Inc. to follow the journey. What unfolded led to the creation of the documentary Obrigado Mucombeze, which shares the story of the area and the people that call it home—and ultimately uncovers the power of giving back. Check out the trailer for the documentary, which is premiering later this month, and be on the lookout for the full documentary in a few weeks!
