Shook was thrilled to be part of the ribbon cutting at the Northwest Regional Water Treatment Plant in Greene County, Ohio. Shook, along with our joint venture partner AECOM, was the design builder on this successful project, which will support the growth of the county by increasing water capacity and providing soft water to its customers.
Improvements to Greene County’s largest water treatment plant — including the addition of three new gravity sand filters — will bring capacity from 10.5 to 12 million gallons per day. Other work included the addition of reverse osmosis membrane softening equipment, new chemical building, new offices and conference room, renovation of 12 existing gravity sand filters, repainting the exterior of all existing buildings on-site, renovation of two existing on-site clear wells, new SCADA system for plant controls, new reaction tank, complete renovation of existing administration building, and other various process and site improvements.
Thanks go out to the Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department ; Arcadis, which served as the owner's agent; our joint venture partner AECOM; and all the team members who made this project a success!
