February 29, 2024 Mission
Our team has enjoyed seeing some more of Thailand the last few days and getting to debrief the trip together. We did a cave and kayak tour, hiked ~800 steps up to a temple, visited a hot springs/waterfall at a national park, fed elephants and did a jungle hike. It was great to see more of the country that stole many of our hearts this week. Mostly, it was nice to have some time to bond together as a team as we continued to process the impact of this week.
As we were standing in line in airport in Chiang Mai, we received a wonderful surprise. Faa showed up with eight of the children to send us off. Their joy and our team’s delight to see them made for a wonderful ending to a memorable trip. Now, our team starts their long journey back home.
So long, Thailand!
