Workflow One (Relizon) Office Building
Shook was the Design-Build Contractor for this Class A office space and parking structure located on the old Sears store site near the Riverscape Business District in downtown Dayton. WorkFlow One, formerly the Relizon building, included a five-story, 165,000 SF office space that houses 500 employees and a 500-car parking garage serving downtown Dayton for after-hours events. This structural steel framed building has the appearance of full brick in the North, East and West facades. Our pre-construction team proposed the use of a panelized facade to meet the stringent construction time frame of 16-months. The parking facility is connected to the office building by a six level connector structure for direct access from the parking facility to all levels of the new offices. The cast-in-place concrete parking structure was designed to expand vertically with a 2 1/2 level addition if needed. The East elevation has an applied facade of EFIS and glass that disguises the buildings use and fits the Webster Station design criteria established for the Dayton Inner City Redevelopment. The first level of the parking structure is slated for retail use and restaurants. This project was performed for the city of Dayton's Port Authority. Please read a testimonial of the project from the Port Authority's Executive Director Ron Parker. Shook won a Build Ohio award for this project.
