Shook Announces Receipt of the MVH Tower Project

The Skanska Shook Joint Venture announced Monday that they have officially been named the Construction Manager for Premier Health Partner's $135 million Heart Tower Project at Miami Valley Hospital. The 484,000 SF patient tower will include 180 private rooms, three Operating Rooms and five Cath labs. The construction will also include a two floor, 40 car parking garage in the building's base, a new patient lobby and a new loading dock. Additionally the design will allow for future construction of another 72 patient rooms.

The Skanska Shook team began enabling and site work earlier this year, with a scheduled completion of 2010. The building will pursue LEED certification, with the specific level to be determined.
