Tech Town Gaining Momentum

Tech Town Gaining Momentum

The $7M Tech Town Building II project gained momentum at the official
sign-raising to mark the beginning of more construction. At 62,000 square feet, this technology hub will provide future tenants a new building design of cutting-edge applied technology and ecological friendly elements. Tech Town will support such applications as sensors and RFID, advanced materials, and data mining/management. The future tenants will include companies such as the University of Dayton Research Institute and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This project was financed through federal, state, and local funds.

The project is located downtown Dayton on the corner of Monument and Webster. During the ceremony, WDTN news interviewed our Project Manager, Chris Josselyn. He stated, "As you're coming down the new Monument, now since it's both ways, once they take down the Delco plant over here you'll be able to see this building from here but also from Fifth Third Field. That was something important for them. So as you're enjoying the Dragons game, you'll be able to see the new development around here."

The official sign-raising was held on September 13, 2010. The project is expected to be complete in summer 2011.
