Shook's Chairman Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Vince Corrado, Chairman of Shook’s Board of Directors, was recently presented the Pinnacle Award at the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio’s 20th annual Build Ohio Celebration in Columbus, Ohio.

AGC Ohio presents this award to distinguished members who promote fair practices, work with public and private owners to stimulate construction markets, assist with labor relations, and provide education and training services – all while upholding the AGC principles of skill, responsibility and integrity.

Vince is only the second person to receive the award since it was created in 2006.

Starting his career at Shook Construction as an estimator, Vince ascended to more leadership roles such as president, CEO and to his current position as Chairman of the Board. Vince has been heavily involved with AGC of Ohio over the years and currently represents Ohio as an elected director on the AGC of America Board of Directors.

Even though Vince is in a demanding business, he manages to find time for his hobbies. He has contributed time and money to many local municipal and educational organizations, such as the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, the United Way, the Boy Scouts, and A Special Wish Foundation. He also serves as a volunteer Angel Pilot for the National Pilot Network, which transports ill patients to first-rate hospitals all over the country.

Shook is proud that Vince has received such a prestigious industry award that personifies Shook’s culture of building trusting relationships by being responsive and providing the highest quality possible.
