Shook Helps College Students
Learn about Construction Industry

Shook Construction recently participated in the Ohio Contractor Association’s Rich Digeronimo “Constructor for a Day” Program. This annual event, which Shook has long supported, is designed to educate college students about the design and construction industry and to help them learn about prospective job opportunities. This year’s event featured 112 students from seven Northeast Ohio colleges as well as the support from over 20 local companies.
After a breakfast and brief educational lecture, the students embarked on various field trips, visiting active projects taking place all over the region, including Shook’s current projects at the City of Cleveland Water Department’s Morgan Water Works Plant. The group then regrouped in the afternoon for networking with prospective employers. The afternoon program also included a scholarship presentation in which current Shook Co-Op Aaron Jones, a junior at Eastern Michigan University, was recognized.
