Ohio Business Opportunity FairShook Construction participated in the Northern and South/Central Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council’s Ohio Business Opportunity Fair held recently in Columbus, OH. The Fair is an opportunity for major corporations, small businesses, minority business enterprises and government agencies to meet, network, share best practices and discuss business opportunities. Shook’s Senior Project Manager Chris Halapy spoke to the attendees on the benefits of majority/minority business partnerships. Joining Chris as a co-presenter was Rick Zamora, President and CEO of Global Point Technologies. Global Point is a minority-owned, emerging structured cabling company that recently acted as a key subcontracting partner on Shook’s data center renovation project for Case Western Reserve University. The talk focused on the win-win opportunities that result from transparent and sincere partnering between majority and minority companies. Shook views economic inclusion as a key component of our culture and business strategy. We are committed to providing substantial opportunities for small, emerging and disadvantaged companies and support several different organizations and efforts that work towards that end.
