NAWA Water Plant
This Northern Area Water Authority project is a new 7 MGD water plant utilizing nano-filtration membrane softening and associated improvements. The contract consisted of everything needed to provide two cities with portable water, including but not limited to well construction, well pumps, pressure filtration, chemical feed systems, cartridge filtration, reverse osmosis equipment, as well associated backwash cleaning for all systems. In an effort to provide the NAWA Board with a self-sufficient facility, the 22,600 SF plant is fully automated and requires one full-time shift of plant operators. The plant can fully sustain operations with all other normal operating procedures carried out by a complex protocol matrix which will be programmed into the SCADA software. In the event of any abnormalities, an on-call operator is automatically paged from the attached, 6,325 SF administration building. |
