N.A.T. Program Rolled-Out Nationally

Since partnering with AT&T as their Alliance General Contractor in 2000, Shook has always made Network Reliability our number one priority for all of the “mission critical” facilities in which we perform work. In order to streamline the qualification and training of Shook and subcontractor personnel, Shook and our JV partner Skanska created a Network Awareness Training (NAT) program. This program outlines the method of procedure and protocol for performing work without disturbing the critical environment maintained within AT&T’s facilities. Developed initially in 2000, the program was revamped in 2006 and reintroduced as a cutting-edge, web-based training. The enhanced NAT was so well-received that AT&T decided to make it THE standard training program for all contractors engaged by their Corporate Real Estate Group NATIONWIDE. As the developers of the original web-based format, Skanska Shook was given the task of updating the program for national use under an aggressive 3-month schedule, culminating in an October 1 deadline. In conjunction with Clevespace Interactive who provided IT support, Skanska Shook successfully rolled out The AT&T National Network Awareness Training Program on September 29, 2008.

At Shook we are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve AT&T as their Alliance Partner. This exciting activity is just the latest accomplishment in an impressive history of outstanding service by the Skanska Shook team.
