Bed Expansion Project at
Miami Valley Hospital South

Miami Valley Hospital South (MVHS) is adding a five-story addition with up to 64 private patient rooms dedicated to orthopedics, obstetrical, and medical surgical care as part of its long-range facility plan. The MVHS 100-acre campus is located in Centerville, Ohio along I-675 near the intersection of Wilmington Pike and Clyo Road.

In addition to the 200,000 SF tower, a 6,000 SF free-standing power house and expanded park will be added to the campus.

The $64.2 million project will also use prefabrication for elements such s the bathroom pods and overhead utilities in the corridors. The prefabrication will minimize the amount of noise, time, and disruption to the active hospital.

Skanska Shook, a joint venture, is providing construction management services for this project. Gresham Smith and Partners has been selected to provide design services.

Construction is expected to be complete in February 2012.
