Miami Valley Hospital NICU Renovation and Enabling
This $14-million dollar project for Premier Health Partner's Miami Valley Hospital consists of the renovation of an existing 22,000 SF Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the addition of approximately 29,000 SF of new NICU space. The multi-phased project will upgrade the unit to the enhanced restrictions of regulatory agencies and increase the total bed count from 49 to 60. All patient beds will be private. The construction and renovation project will be completed by March of 2009. Concurrent with this project, the Skanska Shook Joint Venture is managing the demolition and enabling work that will prepare the site for the new tower project scheduled to begin in the late spring of 2008. The enabling work consists of the demolition of three campus buildings, construction of a temporary loading dock, the relocation of well piping, relocation of the Bulk Oxygen Farm and installation of a temporary elevated walkway. |
