Shook's Scheumann Stadium Project Wins Award

In December 2007, Shook was recognized by the Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association for its excellent concrete work on the new construction of a 98 FT elevator shaft connected to the press box at Ball State University's Scheumann Stadium. The cast in place shaft was erected on a fast track using a Peri-form system in order to meet the project's aggressive schedule. The job recently competed on the national level of competition, but did not receive the national award.

Shook completed the renovation of Scheumann Stadium at Indiana's Ball State University in 2007. The project consisted of renovations to the North side of the stadium including restrooms, concession areas and a new social pavilion. Shook also performed demolition and new construction for the stadium's press box. The small wooden pressbox that was existing was replaced with a three floor, state of the art press box featuring luxury suites, an entire press floor and an adjoining kitchen/serving area.
