Tech Town Building
Shook RJE, a joint venture company, is currently providing construction management services for CityWide Development Corp.’s second Tech Town project. Valued at approximately $9 million, the new 65,000 SF building will be the second in a series for the Tech Town development and is anticipated to bring as many as 300 new jobs to downtown Dayton. The new facility will include highly advanced technology features, such as integrated HVAC systems, secure and public wireless internet connections, and a variety of ecologically friendly "green" elements. With construction anticipated to be complete in the summer of 2011, this project will seek to obtain at least a LEED silver certification.
Spanning 40-acres, Tech Town is designed to be a technology-oriented campus, bringing together cutting-edge technology from its tenants while providing accessibility to the region’s world-class research institutions like the University of Dayton Research Institute and the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Shook Construction and Raymond Jackson Enterprises have formed a Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture through the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program. This unique joint venture provides RJ Enterprises the benefits of Shook’s enhanced capacity, resources and past experience when pursuing both public and private projects.
