Cary, NC Wastewater Treatment Plant



 

Shook replaced an existing 4 MGD facility with a new modernized 10 MGD plant. Work included: two biological reactor basins with brush aeration and mixing; two new clarifiers; two new bar screens; new aerated grit/grease system; RAS/WAS pump station; a new deep bed tertiary filter system; two new 200 HP influent pumps and three new buildings to house the required electrical apparatus. Shook self-performed all site, civil, piping and process work associated with this project which encompasses a site of 12.5 acres.
