WTP/WWTP Estimator

We prefer to fill this position within our Dayton office; however, we are open to consider candidates in one of our other three offices (Cleveland, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Raleigh, NC).

Position Responsibilities

The WTP/WWTP estimator is responsible for the overall coordination of functions associated with estimating, including specification review, cost review, scheduling, risk assessment, and other related duties. Specific duties include, but aren't limited to, the following:

  • Helps establish bid team assignments
  • Coordinates bond requirements
  • Organizes bid solicitation
  • Coordinates MBE/WBE requirements
  • Coordinates quantity takeoff
  • Establishes pre-bid construction schedule
  • Creates Timberline estimate template
  • Organizes/participates in drawing/estimate reviews
  • Directs bid-day requirements
  • Participates in preconstruction services type work, such as budgeting, design meetings, and value engineering services
  • Participates in client presentations
  • Reviews specifications and drawings to determine scope of work
  • Visits project sites to determine construction methods
  • Performs post bid analysis

Education and Experience

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in civil, mechanical engineering, or construction management
  • Must have 5 years of experience estimating water and wastewater treatment plants

WTP/WWTP Project Engineer

Position Responsibilities

The project engineer is responsible for helping ensure the success of our projects by coordinating with and assisting the other team members including the project manager, assistant project manager, and superintendent.  Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Monitors labor costs and contributes to the plan development to meet budgets.
  • Promotes an environment where all safety procedures and practices are followed.
  • Processes submittals, RFI’s, cost proposals, project schedules, logs, pay requests, and other project specific documents.
  • Assists with procurement of materials and subcontractors.
  • Ensures that all materials, subcontractors, and equipment are acceptable and at the site at a time consistent with the project schedule.
  • Performs project surveying and layout tasks.
  • Contributes to the QA/QC procedures to ensure that a best-in-class product is delivered.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with the owners, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Participates in project closeout tasks.
  • Assists with preconstruction tasks while obtaining new work.

Education and Experience

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
