Atrium Medical Center Project Received The Build Ohio Finalist Award
The $122MM Atrium Medical Center Project recently competed against seven other entries in the Construction Management Category at the Ohio Associated General Contractor's Build Ohio Awards. The 5-story, 500,000SF replacement hospital was submitted jointly by Shook Construction and their Joint Venture Partner Skanska. The project's many notable accomplishments started in the preconstruction phase, when the team's Preconstruction Professionals were able to identify over 250 value engineering opportunities, taking more than $20MM out of the budget while maintaining the quality and function of the end product. The Owner praised our project team repeatedly for the excellent service and number of innovations that we brought to our management approach. Despite a number of challenges that arose during the course of construction, the project was completed on time and on budget. Our team was so successful, that soon after completion the client awarded us an even larger project on their nearby flagship campus.
