Behavioral Health Pavilion of the Virginia's
The Behavioral Health Pavilion of the Virginia's project involved the conversion of an existing hospital to a state of the art psychiatric treatment facility. Shook acted as the Construction Manager on the project, with Joint Venture Partner ATCS. The intent of the project was to increase the number of acute care beds for psychiatric patients and to dedicate space to outpatient care. The specific scope called for demolition of architectural finishes and mechanical piping in all patient rooms as well as select demolition in other parts of the hospital in order to accomodate new treatment space. New construction included the installation of new architectural finishes and fixtures to accomodate the revised function of the facility as well as upgrades to the existing MEP systems. Our team demolished and built out approximately 75% of the facility's 60,000SF of space.
