Ball State Scheumann Stadium

Shook Construction's renovation work at Ball State's Scheumann Stadium included improvements and additions to the North side of the stadium, complete demolition and re-construction of the existing press box and the laying of new sod for the field. North end improvements included the creation of an earthen berm, which was then capped by a large concrete slab. This area was also outfitted with two matching bathroom and concession buildings. The space is intended to host special functions surrounding athletic events. The project also included the construction of a new, state of the art press box featuring luxury suites, a press floor, and adjoining serving/staff areas. A 98 FT elevator shaft was built on the back side of the press box using a Peri-form system. This piece of the project won a Indiana Ready Mix Concrete Association Award for the massive amount of concrete used in the project.
