Shook VP Oversees AWWA Panel
 

Jon Powelson, Division Manager and Vice President of Shook's Northern Operations recently moderated a panel of experts at AWWA's quarterly district meeting in Northeast Ohio. The panel, which was made up of some of Shook's subcontracting partners, included Mark Trudics of Novatny Electric, Mark Headley of ProTech Systems Group and Bernie Ashyk from Shook Construction. The topic of the presentation was "Weathering the Storm: A Contractor's Perspective on Maintaining Plant Operation's During Construction." After a brief introductory presentation by Mr. Powelson, the panel discussed such topics as: the importance of preconstruction planning, full and open communication before, during and after a project, and transitioning to the new equipment and procedures that come with operating a newly updated plant.
